Dual 1219 in Action: Vintage Automatic Turntable Playback

This short, no-commentary video shows my restored Dual 1219 automatic turntable in operation, from automatic start and tonearm movement through vinyl playback and automatic return. The 1219 was one of Dual’s flagship idler-drive turntables of the early 1970s and remains known for its fully automatic mechanism and substantial mechanical design.

This particular 1219 went through a much longer journey than the finished turntable shown here might suggest. After arriving with significant shipping damage, it required several mechanical repairs along with a replacement plinth, dust cover and other updates. The video shows the finished result in everyday operation.
